About the Qualification
This new CII qualification is a replacement for the old Advanced
Financial Planning Certificate (AFPC) There are two levels to
this qualification: Diploma and Advanced Diploma.
The first level qualification requires achievement of 140 exam
credits with at least 80 of these at Diploma level. There are
currently seven units available with 20 credits per unit. To achieve
the Advanced Diploma 290 credits are required.
The last sitting for AFPC papers was October 2006. Five new Advanced
Diploma papers are available from April 2007.

BTS Study Options
For all of the Diploma exams we offer either a one or four day intensive
revision workshop.
One Day Workshop
These are designed to help individuals that have already done some
self-study. The day focuses on the key areas that learners struggle
with and highlights areas that need further revision prior to the
exam. Practice quizzes and a mock exam are used to test current
levels of knowledge. As part of the day we also cover exam technique
and a practice paper. Each individual will take away a personal
study plan.
Four Day Workshop
The four day workshops provide a broader coverage of the main syllabus
areas. Structure is provided throughout the four days by use of
an individual workbook which allows each learner to participate
during the sessions and also provides personalised revision material.
Knowledge is validated throughout the workshop with quizzes, group
and individual exercises and revision aids The workshop also includes
sample exams, exam practice and study tips.
