About the workshop

The AF7 remote workshop concentrates on the key technical knowledge and exam techniques that are essential for an AF7 exam pass.

The workshop will run 9:30am – 4:30pm on both days. Delivered on Zoom.

Places are limited to 12 attendees.

Day one of the workshop refreshes some of the key technical areas examined on the paper, with a focus on COBS rules.

Day two focuses on specimen exam questions and model answers so you can understand what the CII examiner is looking for. You will have the opportunity to ask and discuss questions in a group forum as well, to prepare for the AF7 exam sitting as much as possible.

We will look at the common mistakes candidates make both in their exam preparation and performance on the day to help you kick-start your study in the best way.

Digital materials

Workshop attendees will receive a set of digital materials including three mock case studies, specimen questions and answer feedback. Plus, a selection of technical crib sheets to organise your learning.

Access to the digital materials will be given to you two days before the workshop start date. The digital materials will be added to the My Courses section of your account.

Study support

When you sign up to attend a BTS AF7 exam preparation workshop, you will receive regular guidance in the lead up to your workshop date. Log in to your BTS account and head over to the BTS Careers Zone to get access to:

Recommended prior learning

Just like any other CII exam, some self-study first is required. It is not just a question of attending a workshop and practising possible exam questions. Self-study across different technical areas is a must, to give you the best possible chance of a pass.

Recommended additional support

BTS produce an AF7 e-Learning module which consists of five unique case studies, each with a full set of specimen exam questions and model answers. The e-Learning is designed to be worked through as a series of mock papers, attempting your own answer before self-marking using our marking grid. A clear rationale is provided for each answer so you can learn as you go.

We include hints and tips after each question debrief, plus include relevant crib sheets on possible technical areas that could be examined.

BTS AF7 designers sit the exam every year to keep their knowledge of the question styles as up to date and relevant as possible.

Cancellation Policy:

The viability of a workshop is based on minimum delegate numbers. If you need to cancel your space, please let us know in writing as soon as possible and no later than one week prior to the start date. Cancellations after this point will not be refunded unless a replacement delegate can be found, as this would impact on the course for your fellow delegates. If BTS cancels the workshop, the cost of attending the workshop will be refunded in full.
