Get yourself prepared for exam success with our bitesize revision workshop!

Our CII Tutors will cover the key technical content from the chapters being discussed in each session. Clarifying complex topics with examples and discussion, and test your understanding using CII exam-style questions. SESSIONS COVERED CHAPTERS 1, 5 AND 8 EVENT INFORMATION: By the end of this session, you will be able to:

Describe the features of each class of motor insurance
Outline the cover, extensions and limits of motor insurance
State cover of legal expenses & business interruption insurance
Explain how material information and hazards are underwritten
Discuss importance of material information and proposal forms

CHAPTERS 3, 4 AND 9 EVENT INFORMATION: By the end of this session, you will be able to:

Describe standard cover of each type of package insurance
Outline main forms of property insurance and their key features
State optional extensions and limitations of property insurance
Explain the legal requirements of proposal forms and quotations
State how premiums are calculated and collected by insurers

CHAPTERS 2, 6, 7 AND 10 EVENT INFORMATION: By the end of this session, you will be able to:

Outline features of personal accident and sickness insurance
Describe cover, extensions and limits of medical expenses insurance
State the features and cover for each type of liability insurance
Explain the most common non-insurance services available
State contents of polices including extensions and conditions
Explain conditions, warranties, excesses, clauses and renewals

CHAPTERS 11, 12 AND 13 EVENT INFORMATION: By the end of this session, you will be able to:

Explain valid claims settlement, legalities and evidence needed
Outline impact and process for dealing with fraudulent claims
Describe claims reserving, salvage and Motor Insurance Bureau
State legislation and process of data securely and confidentially
Explain customer service standards and how they are applied
State service standard legal obligations of insurance companies

Come Prepared

Take notes on key points, especially tips and techniques shared by the Tutor.

Focus on Exam Technique

Pay close attention to any practice questions or mock exam sections.

Use the Workshop as a Springboard

Delivery / Access

The workshop will take place on Microsoft Teams. Places are limited. You’ll receive an email confirmation with the link and joining instructions.

Cancellation Policy:

The viability of a workshop is based on minimum delegate numbers.

If you need to cancel your space, please let us know in writing as soon as possible and no later than 48 hours prior to the start date and time of your Workshop.

Cancellations after this point will not be refunded unless a replacement delegate can be found, as this would impact on the course for your fellow delegates.

If BTS cancels the workshop, the cost of attending the workshop will be refunded in full.
