Get yourself prepared for exam success with our bitesize revision workshop!

Our CII Tutors will cover the key technical content from the chapters being discussed in each session. Clarifying complex topics with examples and discussion, and test your understanding using CII exam-style questions. SESSIONS COVERED CHAPTERS 1 AND 2 EVENT INFORMATION: By the end of this session, you will be able to:

Describe legal requirements & policy conditions of valid claims
Explain proximate cause and how it applies to claims
Describe cover and features of the main insurance types
Detail the documentary evidence needed in respect of claims

CHAPTER 3 EVENT INFORMATION: By the end of this session, you will be able to:

State the role of the claims department
Explain service standards & managing customer expectations
Explain consequence of fraud and how to deter and detect it
Describe mechanisms for dispute and complaint resolution
Explain the concept of good faith & the duty of fair presentation

CHAPTERS 4 AND 6 EVENT INFORMATION: By the end of this session, you will be able to:

Explain the claims handling procedures for various policies
Describe the key points relating to additional product services
Define Civil Procedure Rules and use of Personal Portals
Explain how claims can be settled fully or partially or rejected
Describe the considerations relating to recovery
Describe the role of the Motor Ins Bureau in claims settlements

Explain features of claims systems and other support services
Understand importance of Data Protection Legislation
Explain the integration of claims teams in organisations
Understand the role of a claims manager
Explain leakage and how to identify and reduce it

Come Prepared

Review your study materials and note down any topics or questions you’re struggling with.

Bring your CII textbook, notes, and a list of specific areas you want to focus on.

Take notes on key points, especially tips and techniques shared by the Tutor.

Focus on Exam Technique

Pay close attention to any practice questions or mock exam sections.

Use the Workshop as a Springboard

Delivery / Access

The workshop will take place on Microsoft Teams. Places are limited. You’ll receive an email confirmation with the link and joining instructions.

Cancellation Policy:

The viability of a workshop is based on minimum delegate numbers.

If you need to cancel your space, please let us know in writing as soon as possible and no later than 48 hours prior to the start date and time of your Workshop.

Cancellations after this point will not be refunded unless a replacement delegate can be found, as this would impact on the course for your fellow delegates.

If BTS cancels the workshop, the cost of attending the workshop will be refunded in full.
