CF6 Mortgage Advice is a level 3 exam suitable for anyone seeking to give mortgage advice or working in a non-advisory role in the mortgage market. It forms part of the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) Certificate in Mortgage Advice.
It’s an exam that develops understanding of the various types of mortgage products and repayment options and the giving of mortgage advice. It looks at the law, policy and practice of mortgage lending in the UK.
It is a 3-hour exam comprising 100 multiple choice questions (MCQ) and five case studies, each comprising five MCQs. The 2022 nationwide pass rate was 75%

What is the BTS CF6 workshop like?
Our workshop consists of two fun-packed days led by a BTS trainer, plus the company of other candidates in the same position as you.
The workshop concentrates on honing your understanding and application of the heaviest-weighted learning outcomes in the CF6 syllabus.
You will also spend time developing your question answering techniques and exam strategy.
The CII are renowned for their ‘interesting’ use of language, so part of the road to an exam pass is getting used to this.
