Product Description
Who is the Advice Skills e-Learning module created for? The content of the module is best described as the core elements that you’d want to make sure that you get right for customers. For people who are new to the advice role, we’ve created a stage-by-stage overview of some of the key skills that will help you meet the regulator’s and your customer’s reasonable expectations. For experienced advisers it may act as a reminder of skills that you may not have thought about for some time. What’s the format of the e-Learning?
  • We look at three of the key stages in the advice process; Initial contact, Fact finding, and Presenting a recommendation.
  • We set up a base model of what good looks like, and highlight some standards that you can measure your own or someone else’s advice skills against.
  • We share an audio recording of someone carrying out parts of the process.
  • We then give you the chance to act as their coach, and to mark them on how they did against the standards.

If you’re new to the content of this material, then it will help you ultimately become ‘consciously competent’.

If you’ve been an adviser for some time and are a ‘seasoned professional’ then it might help you spot any bad habits that you’ve picked up along the way and allow you think about opportunities for you to ‘raise your game’.
