Attending a remote workshop can help consolidate the key knowledge required for an exam pass.
What is the BTS R04 workshop like? The workshop is designed to enhance your grasp and use of the most heavily weighted learning outcomes in the R04 syllabus. With a subject as complex as R04 you need a facilitator that knows their stuff. BTS facilitators love pensions as a subject and are skilled at bringing key subjects to life through examples, visuals and exam style practice questions. Painting pictures is absolutely essential with pensions as your subject matter to ensure candidates both understand and can apply key concepts to exam style examples. You will also spend time developing your question answering techniques and exam strategy. The CII are renowned for their ‘interesting’ use of language, so part of the road to an exam pass is getting used to this. Please note: This workshop is split into two separate bookings to allow learners flexibility to book one or both days. The 1st part to this this workshop is on 9th October(bookable here) and covers:
LO2: Understand how the HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) tax regime applies to pensions planning and LO4: Understand the structure, characteristics and application of Defined Benefit (DB) schemes to an individual’s pension planning Our LO2 discussion looks at registered pension schemes; how we pay into them, and what / when are benefits available from them. Under LO4, we will look at the main types, attributes and benefits of defined benefit schemes. The workshop is ideal either for some last minute exam revision, or if you are at the start of your studies and perhaps struggling a bit with all those pension rules!
What makes the R04 workshop so useful?
A workshop is a live event where you can benefit not just from the BTS trainer but also from working alongside others studying for the same exam.
Discussions within the group can help to reassure you and improve your understanding of key exam areas.
You’ll get out of your day as much as you put in (and more!).
After the workshop you will have 120-days access to a set of digital revision materials which include:
slides from the workshop, practice tests, technical revision sheets and a specimen exam with explained answers, so you continue your learning after the event.
You’ll also be able to continue your conversations with your fellow R04 candidates in our student-led forums.
Delivered on Zoom. Places are limited.
The workshop will be held on a Friday.
The 2nd part to this this workshop is on 9th October (bookable here).
The day will commence at 09:30 sharp and finish by 16:30, with breaks timetabled for lunch etc throughout the day.
Please be advised that these sessions will be recorded for internal training and quality purposes only. Recordings won’t be shared with attendees after the workshop, so live attendance is required.
Cancellation Policy:
The viability of a workshop is based on minimum delegate numbers.
If you need to cancel your space, please let us know in writing as soon as possible and no later than two weeks prior to the start date.
Cancellations after this point will not be refunded unless a replacement delegate can be found, as this would impact on the course for your fellow delegates.
If BTS cancels the workshop, the cost of attending the workshop will be refunded in full.
